Fatherland
KODE IKLAN BANNER ATAU IKLAN HORIZONTAL DISINI

Fatherland is a alternate-history thriller with a decent cast and a premise that feels ahead of its time. The world-building is surprisingly meticulous with authentic German signage, propaganda styles, and impressive sets/effects that really sell the atmosphere. They went in-depth with all the named historic figures and the different branches of the Nazi-government infighting. This is clearly the major strength of this movie. The story has a couple of interesting twists and characters, but the ending felt a bit underwhelming, as if the budget ran out in the last act. The epilogue reminded me of The Simpsons' "Poochie died on the way back to his home planet". It’s definitely worth a watch though.
